SPANISH COURSES: DESCRIPTION AND STARTING DATES

• There is not inscription fee in our courses.
• Every lesson has a duration of 45 minutes.
• The lessons take place from Monday to Friday, except bank holidays. The school will be closed on the following bank holidays in 2010: 1st January, 6th January, 1st March, 2nd April, 16th Agust,12th October, 1st November, 6th December, plus two local holidays, 2nd January and 3rd June, every year decided from the authorities). If there are two bank holidays in the same week, the school will be closed only one.
• The classes will be timetabled either in the morning or in the afternoon / evening, taking into account the meal time when the participant is at a home-stay accommodation with full board.
• The classes will be carried out entirely in Spanish from the first day and in any level.

• The Spanish school provides the participants (as a loan service) with all the necessary teaching manual during the course.
• The maximum number of participants per class is 8 and the minimum, 2. If the minimum number cannot be reached, the participants will receive a 50% of the lessons in an individual way and without paying the difference of the price, always taking care of the participant, following these rules:
  • Course of 20 lessons in group shift to 10 individual lessons.
  • Course of 25 lessons in group shift to 13 individual lessons.
  • Course of 30 lessons in group shift to 15 individual lessons.

• 5th and 6th lessons: If the participant is the only one who has 5th and 6th lessons, the lessons change as it follows:
  • 5 lessons in group shift to 3 individual ones
  • 10 lessons in group shift to 5 individual lessons.
  In any case, the participant has not to pay the difference of price.

• Before their arrival, participants will have to undergo a language test to determine their level of Spanish and the most suitable classes or groups to join for both their level of grammar and conversation and vocabulary.
• At the end of the course every participant will receive the IMSOL Attendance Certificate.
• You can also receive an Aptitude Certificate by writing a final test.
• The courses are completed with a Daily Programme of Recreational and Cultural Activities and Excursions

TYPES OF COURSE

I.Intensive Course 20 lessons / week II.Intensive Course 25 lessons / week  Prices	4 classes / day This course has 2 classes of communicative grammar and 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice, covering the linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). 5 classes / day With 2 classes of communicative grammar; 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice; and 1 extra class of grammar review or communicative practice with new vocabulary and expressions. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
	Levels: All. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
III. Superintensive Spanish Course 30 lessons / week  Prices	6 classes / day This course has 2 classes of communicative grammar; 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice; and 2 extra classes of grammar review or communicative practice with new vocabulary and expressions. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
	Levels: All. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
IV. Combined Course 20 lessons in group + 5 individuals / week  Prices	4 classes / day This course has 4 classes / day in group (2 classes of communicative grammar and 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice) plus 1 individual lesson per day where the contents suit the participants’ learning needs and preferences. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
	Levels: All. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
V. One-to-One Classes  Prices	Students can choose the number of individual classes per week they wish to attend. "Tailor-made" classes for suiting the participant's learning, professional interests and needs. These individual classes can be combined with all the courses we offer.
	Levels: All. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Duration: optional.
VI. Preparatory Courses for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.) 25 lessons / week  Prices	5 classes / day The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) are official certificates, which prove the Spanish competence and command, given by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. There are six levels, according to the European Common Reference Framework for Languages: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. IMSOL offers preparatory courses for the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.) exams. This course has 5 classes / day specifically centred in familiarizing participants with the 5 different tests involved in the exam: Oral Expression Reading Comprehension Use of Language Writing It is necessary that participants have already approximately the level of the exam they wish to do If not, IMSOL will inform about the best option for them (Examination charges are not included in the price of the course but we can arrange the papers for the inscription and provide participants with all the information about the dates and time of the different exams, etc. because we are a FEDELE Granada centre, organizer of DELE of Instituto Cervantes in this city).

XX. Senior Courses 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day These courses are drawn up for people from 50 years old who wish to learn or improve their Spanish. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course with a class rythm and contents much more communicative and adapted to the real needs of this collective.
	Levels: All. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
VII. Grammar Courses 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day These course has 2 classes on communicative grammar per day, covering all the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

VIII. Conversation and Vocabulary Courses 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day These course has 2 classes on vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing production per day, covering the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
	Minimum Level: All. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
ESTUDIOS HISPÁNICOS
IX. General Course 20 and 25 lessons / week  Prices	4 or 5 classes / day It consists on 4 or 5 lessons per day of grammar, conversation and studies on literature, history and culture of Spain and Latin-America. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
	Minimum Level: B1+. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
X. Spanish and Latinoamerican Literature 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day This course deals with the most important aspects of the Spanish and Latin-American literature of every period. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
	Minimum Level: B1+. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
XI. Spanish and Latinoamerican History 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day This course deals with the most important aspects of the Spanish and Latin-American history. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
	Minimum Level: B1+. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
XII. Spanish and Latinoamerican Culture 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day The course deals with the most important aspects of the Spanish and Latin-American sociocultural reality, going through the main artistic manifestations, the most relevant historical events and the geopolitical conditions that influence our current moment. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.
	Minimum Level: B1+. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
XIII. Commercial Spanish 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day This course is planned for students, businessmen or people who are interested in international business and trade mark or who want to improve their Spanish in this sector. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course. The content of this course is oriented to the exams for the Official Certificate of Commercial Spanish (Certificado Básico de Español de los Negocios; Certificado Superior de Español de los Negocios; Diploma de Español de los Negocios), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.
	Minimum Level: B1+. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
XIV. Medical Spanish 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day This course is drawn up for professional of the medical sector, for those who wish to focus their professional career in this field or for people who would like to improve their Spanish in this sector. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course. The content of this course is oriented to the exams for the Official Certificate of Medical Spanish (Certificado Básico de Español de las Ciencias de la Salud; Certificado Superior de Español de las Ciencias de la Salud), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.
	Minimum Level: B1+. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
XV. Tourism Spanish 10 lessons / week  Prices	2 classes / day This course is drawn up for professional of the tourism sector, for people who would like to focus their professional career in this field or for those who wish to improve their Spanish in this sector. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course. The content of this course is oriented to the exams for the Official Certificate of Tourism Spanish (Certificado Básico de Español del Turismo; Certificado Superior de Español del Turismo), carried out by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Alcalá. Our school is one of the Official Examining Centres for this exam.
	Minimum Level: B1. Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year. Min. Duration: 1 week.
